West Brom hero Youssouf Mulumbu mocks Wolves as Sky Sports share manager update
Former West Brom midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu mocked Wolves on social media after Sky Sports shared an update on their managerial position.
After what has been a poor campaign for Wolves, Sky Sports shared the news that they had opted to sack manager Gary O’Neil leaving Baggies supporters in hysterics.
Their reported interest in appointing Baggies boss Carlos Corberan (Alan Nixon) leaves concerns to be considered over the coming weeks.
But ex-Baggies midfielder Mulumbu did not hesitate to mock Wolves in a social media post on X, replying to the sacking of O’Neil with an upside-down smiley face emoji showcasing his sarcasm towards the update.
West Brom could lose Corberan to Wolves
Although it’s been an up-and-down season for the Baggies, Corberan remains a crucial component of the club and they simply cannot afford to lose him.
Don Goodman previously claimed that there is no chance he will join the Baggies’ rivals but if reports are to be believed, he is certainly one of several names they are considering.
If West Brom are to have a successful campaign, the Spaniard must remain at the helm of the club and his potential exit would leave a massive hole in that promotion push.
If there is any manager capable of getting the Baggies back on the promotion track it is Corberan and that is showcased by the fact that he is being courted by Premier League clubs.
His pedigree is well known and the coming weeks could be anxiety-filled for those involved with the club and supporters will be hoping that he demonstrates his loyalty towards West Brom.
In other West Brom news, Tony Mowbray could return to full-time management.
