Diangana sends message to Matheus Pereira as ex-West Brom star jets into UK

Grady Diangana sent his former West Brom teammate Matheus Pereira love on Instagram after he flew back to the UK.

Despite only playing two seasons of football with the Baggies, Pereira proved to be a popular character at The Hawthorns.

Across his time with the Albion, he scored 20 goals and provided 26 assists, a player Carlos Corberan could no doubt use now as they look to win more games and regain their position in the play-off spots.

Diangana has struggled to get going for his side this season having played just 12 games, with injury making him miss out on game time.

Nevertheless, the current player was keen to show love to his former teammate after the Brazilian posted a series of pictures from the UK on Instagram and he commented with two love hearts.

There were plenty of comments on the Brazilian’s Instagram post echoing the same level of love, including comments cheekily asking him to return to the Hawthorns, despite him now playing in his native country.

Unfortunately for Diangana, he has not been able to perform to the same levels as his ex-teammate does with the patience of some starting to wear thin as they wait for the player to be available for selection again this term.

That being said, the 26-year-old was able to register seven goals and eight assists in the Championship last season, showing he does have the ability to have an impact on his side and add goals to the team.

As Corberan’s side look to take their place within the top six by the end of the season in the hope of gaining promotion to the Premier League, the winger has the opportunity to show he can be the hero by getting fit and providing goals to his team.
