Carlos Corberan seems to have several tough decisions to make at West Brom ahead of the January transfer window.

The Baggies have faltered in the Championship after such a bright start, falling out of the play-off spots following a series of frustrating draws and a 2-1 defeat to Watford on Sunday 15 December.

No other team in the division has as many draws as Corberan's men this season - 11 in 21 matches - and this cannot continue if they are to achieve promotion to the Premier League.

This could see the manager attempt to make multiple changes to his squad, with the likes of Uros Racic and Lewis Dobbin potentially being sent back to their respective parent clubs [DOOD].

The former has failed to make a big enough impression since joining from Sassuolo on a temporary deal, starting just eight Championship games so far, so Corberan could turn to different avenues instead.

Carlos Corberan to trust Harry Whitwell with West Brom senior chance?

West Brom youngster Harry Whitwell only has two senior appearances to his name but could be a name seen on the teamsheet far more regularly in 2025.

The 19-year-old midfielder is extremely talented, notching five goals and one assist in seven Premier League 2 appearances so far this season, already bettering his stats from the 2023/24 campaign.

Fans are always excited to see academy graduates rise through the ranks at The Hawthorns, and Whitwell could very much be the next emerging star to come into the first team set-up.

Something certainly needs to change amid the Baggies' recent form, drawing 10 of their last 13 matches in the Championship, having lost the two games prior to that run of results.

Adding a youngster to the team, one who understands exactly what it means to be a Baggie, could add some much-needed energy and desire into the middle of the park.
