
West Brom have last laugh after what Coventry fans have said about Thomas-Asante
Brandon Thomas-Asante divided opinions at West Brom, and fans will feel vindicated after what is being said about him at Coventry City after their heavy loss to Portsmouth.
The former Baggies forward came on as a substitute in the second half against Pompey for Frank Lampard’s team as they lost 4-1 on Saturday [21 December].
Callum Lang bagged four goals in the game before the hour mark, before Thomas-Asante came on from the bench in the 63rd minute in an attempt to turn things around for the Sky Blues.
Coventry fans mocked The Hawthorns faithful by chanting, “Thomas-Asante, he left because you’re ****”, when the two teams faced on 11 December in the league.
Albion had got the better of Lampard on the day and now have had the last laugh after what the Sky Blues fans are saying about the Ghana international.

Coventry fans are now feeling they got the short end of the stick with the 25-year-old’s deal in the summer, with one supporter saying on social media that the Baggies “pulled our pants down” with the sale.
Other Sky Blues fans said that Thomas-Asante was “awful” and a “proper pony” after their defeat to Portsmouth.
West Brom supporters overwhelmingly responded that they did try to warn Coventry when the transfer went through.
One Albion faithful also called the Sky Blues’ supporters out for their chants at The Hawthorns regarding the Ghanaian.
The Baggies face Bristol City next in the Championship on Sunday [22 December] and have the chance to climb up the table.
