Bristol City share ‘disgraceful’ footage that’s outraged West Brom fans
Bristol City have rubbed West Brom fans up the wrong way by sharing a video clip of the disrespectful behaviour of their fans on Sunday.
Albion returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over the Robins at The Hawthorns in what was Carlos Corberan’s side’s final home game of 2024.
Ahead of the Championship victory, the Black Country club showed their ‘Always Albion‘ tribute on the big screens to remember those supporters who sadly passed away throughout the year.
West Brom fans furious with Bristol City conduct
Even though this was going on, away fans were filmed singing throughout the tribute and it seems that Bristol City’s kitman Scott Murray decided it was a great time to play games with the fans too.
What makes matters even worse is that the Robins’ official X account seemed to glorify that behaviour by sharing a video clip of Twine kicking a ball into the away end with the ‘Always Albion’ tribute clearly being shown in the background.
Understandably, loads of West Brom fans were outraged by Bristol City’s behaviour, with one saying it was “disgraceful”.
Mikey Johnston scored both goals as Albion beat Liam Manning’s side to move up to seventh in the Championship table and level on points with Middlesbrough in sixth.
Next up for the Black Country club is an away trip to Derby County on Boxing Day before they round off 2024 with a clash against league leaders Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on 29 December.
West Brom then begin 2025 by welcoming Preston North End to The Hawthorns on New Year’s Day.
In other West Brom news, Curtis Davies says what “stinks” about Corberan’s management at the Baggies.
