La Liga giants make offer to hire West Brom boss Carlos Corberan
Valencia have made an offer to hire West Brom manager Carlos Corberan, according to Hector Gomez.
The Tribuna Deportiva journalist claims that talks have been opened with the Spaniard over potentially leaving the Hawthorns.
It’s understood that he has asked for a number of things before giving the green signal to the Spanish side as he’s got offers from English clubs as well.
Gomez wrote on X: “Valencia made an offer to the West Bromwich Albion coach Carlos Corberan.
“There are talks and the coach has asked for several things to give the yes because he has offers from England.”
West Brom face an anxious few days as Carlos Corberan considers Valencia switch
The Baggies undoubtedly face an anxious wait as Corberan may be open to moving to Valencia as it’s a step up in his career.
They are a historic La Liga side and he’ll get the chance to go up against some of the best managers in the world in Spain.
There’s only so much time he would want to stay in the second tier with West Brom, especially if he does not see them establishing themselves as a regular Premier League outfit.
Currently, Valencia find themselves in a relegation battle as they sit in 19th place after 17 games played.
Corberan will initially have to steady the ship and then can aim for a European finish next season, but it’s certainly an exciting challenge for him.
It remains to be seen what his conditions are for the job and whether or not Valencia actually accept them.
