West Brom news as another exit confirmed post Carlos Corberan

Jorge Alarcon has also parted ways with West Brom, following Carlos Corberan out of the door.

The Spaniard, who joined Corberan’s coaching team in October 2022 as the first-team assistant coach, will no longer be at the Hawthorns in any capacity, he confirmed on his X handle.

This comes after Corberan parted ways with the club and was announced as the new Valencia manager.

West Brom will miss the Carlos Corberan-Jorge Alarcon duo

While his absence, along with Corberan, will indeed be felt, as he was a key part of the setup, bringing expertise and a strong working relationship with the former manager.

Alarcon’s insights as a fitness coach and his PhD in Sports Science contributed significantly to the team’s conditioning.

However, with Corberan’s move to Valencia, it’s logical for Alarcon to follow, given their history of collaboration at clubs like Huddersfield Town and Olympiacos.

As the Baggies look to the future, the club’s decision to part ways with Alarcon makes sense, as the incoming manager is expected to bring his own coaching staff, ensuring a fresh perspective and continuity in leadership style.

This transition is typical in football when a new manager is appointed, as they often prefer to work with familiar faces to implement their vision effectively.

Hopefully, the club make the right appointment in terms of the manager as he can take Corberan’s work forward.
