West Brom could have new manager in charge for FA Cup clash v Bournemouth

West Brom could wait until their FA Cup clash against Bournemouth on 11 January to find a new manager, according to Birmingham Mail.

The online source reported [27 December] that the Baggies have already started the search to replace Carlos Corberan following his sudden move to Valencia earlier this week.

It is understood that Albion’s hunt to find a new figure will not be rushed, with a shortlist already being drawn up at The Hawthorns, but a decision could take until the trip to the Vitality Stadium next month.

Chris Brunt, Boaz Myhill and Damia Abella have been placed in charge on an interim basis while the Baggies attempt to find a new manager, with the trio overseeing the 2-1 loss to Derby County on Boxing Day.

West Brom to have new manager bounce v Bournemouth?

Rumours have already begun to swirl in the Midlands, with supporters hoping for former Chelsea boss Graham Potter to drop back down to the Championship for his beloved Baggies.

However, the likes of Steven Gerrard, David Moyes and John Terry have all appeared on the bookies’ latest odds for who could replace Corberan at the helm.

The Spaniard leaves very big shoes to fill following his time at The Hawthorns, becoming a favourite amongst those at the club, leaving so many people saddened by his shock exit.

With the Baggies just two points outside of the Championship play-off spots right now, it is extremely important that they make the right appointment for the second half of the season.

The Hawthorns has been the home of West Brom since 1900.

Recent form has been extremely frustrating, seeing the team pick up 11 draws so far, but the current squad certainly have the ability to secure promotion back to the Premier League.

Getting the right manager could mean the difference between a playoff spot and finishing mid-table.
