West Brom next manager: Ex-Manchester United striker ready for job
West Brom could set to appoint Mark Robins as their new manager with the ex-Manchester United striker ready to take a new job, according to TBR Football.
The Baggies were left reeling when Carlos Corberan departed on Christmas day after Valencia appointed the Spanaird as their new manager.
Liverpool coach John Heitinga had been linked with the vacancy but a report from TBR states that Robins is ready to return to management and that Albion are interested in his services along with Stoke City.
Robins the standout candidate for West Brom
The former Coventry boss seems like the standout candidate to replace Corberan at The Hawthorns after his unexpected departure.
He has experienced similar financial constraints to those facing the next Baggies manager in his time with the Sky Blues with Albion still feeling the effects of Guochuan Lai’s disastrous ownership stint.
The 55-year-old took his former club from League Two to the Championship playoff final in a seven-year spell with the West Midlands side.

Albion are within touching distance of the Championship playoffs in eighth place, just two points behind Watford who occupy the final spot with a lot of the season left to play.
The former Manchester United attacker could be the man to take Albion back to the Premier League given his previous experience at Coventry.
He is the most qualified contender for the role right now and the Baggies should do everything they can to appoint him with interest from elsewhere in his services.
