West Brom next manager: John Eustace update emerges today live on air
John Eustace is one of the names mentioned to possibly succeed Carlos Corberan at West Brom, Alex Crook says.
The chief football correspondent for talkSPORT has revealed that the Blackburn Rovers boss has been brought up in conversations regarding the next head coach of the Baggies.
Eustace has done admirable work at the Lancashire club and could replace Corberan, who left for Valencia in December.
Speaking live on talkSPORT (1 January, 13:13), Crook said: “John Eustace, doing such a good job at Blackburn, is another name who has been mentioned to me.”
West Brom need to find right Carlos Corberan replacement
The Baggies need to find the right replacement for the Spaniard at The Hawthorns to continue the progress of the last 18 months.
Corberan took The Albion to the play-off semi-finals last season and once again had the Black Country club competing for a top-six berth in the Championship.
The 41-year-old had taken massive strides at the West Midlands outfit since replacing Steve Bruce, and it’s no surprise that a giant like Valencia wanted him.
West Brom haven’t had the best of records since the Spanish manager’s departure, and Shilen Patel needs to find a successor soon.

Chris Brunt has taken interim charge of the Baggies, but it looks unlikely that the Northern Irishman will be handed the reins permanently.
The Hawthorns faithful are expecting their team to be in the race for promotion to the Premier League, and anything less than that will be disappointing.
Blackburn are direct rivals for a place in the top six, and it seems unlikely that Eustace will move to The Hawthorns this season.
In other West Brom news, Patel has sent a message to fans on New Year’s Day.
