West Brom injury news: Alex Mowatt update emerges for Swansea clash
Alex Mowatt is set to be available for West Brom ahead of their clash with Swansea City on Saturday, according to DOOD.
The West Brom insider reported via X that the midfielder is set to be available for selection although will likely be on the bench after missing two games through injury.
The Baggies travel to Swansea for an early kick-off on Saturday (4 January) as they look to build on their win against Preston potentially under the management of Chris Brunt again.
Alex Mowatt available for West Brom
When he was first injured, the Albion boss wasn’t sure how long Mowatt would be out of the side so for him to be available again and have missed minimal action is a big positive for the team.
The midfielder has been a mainstay in the Baggies side this season with 23 appearances, registering four goals and two assists.
Ousmane Diakite had a shakey start when he came into the side as a replacement, giving away a goal with a poor pass against Sheffield United. However, he has made up for it since with some tenacious performances.

Mowatt will no doubt be on the bench with no urgent need to risk him by bringing him back too soon giving Diakite the opportunity to show why he should retain his place in the line-up.
However, the 29-year-old has been a solid player for the Baggies so far this term and this will surely be a big boost to proceedings heading into the second half of the campaign.
In other West Brom news, Chris Brunt announced a major Baggies exit after the win against Preston.
