West Brom told hire Chris Brunt as new manager – ‘He’ll be offered the job’
West Brom fans are in agreement that Chris Brunt should be the man to succeed Carlos Corberan.
After what felt like a lifetime of speculation, the Spaniard packed his bags and headed home to become the new manager of Valencia.
Several names have already been linked with taking over from the former Huddersfield Town boss but in the interim, Baggies legend Brunt has taken the reins and has done a pretty decent job so far.
West Brom fans want Chris Brunt in permanently
Although the departure of Corberan will no doubt lie heavy in the hearts of Baggies supporters for some time, it feels like Brunt has shown them a new way to play.
The interim manager has helped turn West Brom into a free-flowing attacking team and as was shown by their 3-1 victory over Preston on Wednesday, things are going rather swimmingly.
In fact, one West Brom supporter has already told Shilen Patel to “give him the keys” after the performance at The Hawthorns on 1 January.
Another supporter shared that they’d “prefer Brunt over Williams at the moment” after the Swansea manager has recently emerged as a favourite to replace Corberan.

Although Brunt has done a pretty industrious job during his short stint as Baggies boss, it feels like he still has a fair bit to prove before he’s handed the permanent manager role.
West Brom’s replacement for Corberan will have to be perfect because if not, things could go south rather quickly at The Hawthorns which, in reality, is the last thing anyone involved with the Black Country club wants.
In other West Brom news, Josh Maja wowed an out-of-work manager with the goal he scored in the Baggies’ 3-1 victory over Preston on Wednesday.
