Swansea City v West Brom postponement latest after major new Met Office update
West Brom are due to face Swansea City on Saturday afternoon with the clash not expected to be immediately affected by the latest update from the Met Office.
Several parts of the UK are set to be hit by adverse weather conditions with Wales likely to face the brunt of it with an amber weather warning issued with anticipated snowfall and icy conditions as per the latest update from the Met Office (3 January).
West Brom will be hopeful that the game goes ahead as they look to build on their 3-1 victory over Preston on New Year’s Day and fortunately, it’s unlikely for the game to be affected by the weather at this stage though that could change if conditions worsen.
The update from Met Office states that the conditions could cause travel delays and/or even cancellations and supporters making the trip to Swansea should have this in mind before arranging any further plans.
West Brom have excellent opportunity to make it two wins from two
The Baggies’ performance against Preston was much improved from those in recent weeks in an attacking sense and they reaped the benefits having come away with all three points.
Josh Maja getting back on the score sheet will do the striker the world of good having previously gone through somewhat of a goal drought.
Chris Brunt will remain in charge for the clash against recently linked Luke Williams’ side although it has since been reported that he is no longer in the running for the vacant post at The Hawthorns (Lewis Cox).

While efforts to replace Carlos Corberan certainly need to be ramped up, the main focus is achieving results on the pitch and Brunt looks more than capable of doing that having picked up four points in their last two games.
With the game set to go ahead as planned, West Brom have every opportunity to make it seven points from a possible nine as they continue their hunt for promotion.
