Everton fans not happy at Tom Fellows transfer latest from West Brom
Everton have been linked with a move for West Brom starlet Tom Fellows but the feeling on Merseyside is that he would be a fitting addition.
Fellows has been a key player at The Hawthorns this season, earning him Premier League transfer interest with Everton one of the clubs keen on the forward [Guy Havord via Sky Sports].
However, West Brom do not want to sell Fellows unless they receive a significant fee [DOOD] but that hasn’t stopped Everton supporters from reacting to their reported interest.
And it seems many aren’t sold on the idea.
Everton supporters against signing Tom Fellows from West Brom
If you’ve watched any West Brom game this season, you’ll be fully aware of the level of quality possessed by Fellows in a side where he doesn’t have a lot of attacking support.
No Championship player has registered more assists (10), and he is still on course to beat the record tally of 19, yet it still isn’t enough to entice Evertonians into wanting his services.
While admittedly his goal record doesn’t scream out quality, the clear lack of knowledge on the forward is quite remarkable.
For West Brom’s sake, many will hope Fellows will remain at a club where he is appreciated for his work and contributions in the final third, with a move to Everton looking like a terrible career choice given the reaction.
A few below-par performances and it seems he would be hounded out of the club. Given their frailties, it just isn’t a move that should appear enticing for Fellows.
