Wolves v Nottingham Forest: Sky Sports show Gibbs-White silence West Brom rivals
West Brom fans will be watching Morgan Gibbs-White’s goal on repeat as Nottingham Forest took the lead against Wolves on Monday.
The rivalry between Wolves and the Baggies runs deep, highlighted by their recent meeting in the FA Cup last season, with Pedro Neto and Matheus Cunha the difference at The Hawthorns.
That is exactly why those two travel to The Hawthorns to watch their beloved Albion will be sitting back at home, cackling to themselves as a Wolves academy graduate netted against them at their own stadium.
Making things far worse at the Molineux, Gibbs-White did his famous celebration to anger the home crows further on 6 January, with Sky Sports posting the clip via their X account.
West Brom fans laughing at Wolves misfortune
While the Baggies are aiming to secure promotion to the Premier League this season, Wolves are trying their best to avoid the drop-down to the Championship, though those efforts could be in vain.
Gary O’Neil has already been sacked from his post at Molineux, with Wolves now only above the relegation zone by goal difference, and a woeful one at that.
Of course, the Baggies’ campaign has not been the simplest of rides, with a series of draws and losses ending with Carlos Corberan’s shock move to Valencia, but they look to be steadying the ship.
With West Brom not playing on Monday night, though few of the fans will not be watching the match unfold in the Midlands, many will be happy to see Wolves’ misfortune on repeat.
With Sky Sports now posting the footage to their social media sites, they can watch the Wolves fans go crazy at their former star, who left them in the summer of 2022 and has only continued to develop and improve.
You might as well sit and watch Gibbs-White fire past Jose Sa to open the scoring.
