Jed Wallace may seek West Brom exit as Blackburn news emerges
West Brom star Jed Wallace is attracting interest from Blackburn Rovers, according to The Sun on Sunday.
The newspaper’s print edition reported (page 55, 12 January) that John Eustace likes the 30-year-old and could pounce if a move for Jeffrey Schlupp fails.
The report claims that the former Millwall ace may be interested in the switch due to his reduced role at The Hawthorns this season.
Wallace has featured in 20 Championship matches for the Baggies this campaign for a total of just 459 minutes, starting just three games.
Wallace could seek West Brom exit
The emergence of Tom Fellows has limited the veteran’s game time this season and it makes sense for him to move on.
Albion could do with extra funds to bolster their squad for the Championship playoff chase, with the Baggies currently occupying the final spot in sixth place.
However, they would be strengthening a direct top-six rival if they let Wallace leave for Rovers with the two sides separated by just one point.

The club captain is a leader within the squad and losing his experience could be a huge blow but with the lack of regular game time, his impact is not being felt on the pitch.
The 30-year-old may decide that is time for a new chapter in his career and it is unlikely that Albion would deny him the opportunity with DOOD claiming on 2 January that the Black Country club are willing to listen to offers.
However, the eventual new manager may decide that he would like to utilise Wallace when he comes in and assesses the squad.
In other West Brom news, a silver lining has emerged for Albion after the heavy FA Cup loss to Bournemouth.
