Sean Dyche now looks increasingly likely to be the next possible West Brom manager.

After being relieved of his duties at Everton, the English manager is out of work as the Baggies look for Carlos Corberan's successor after his move to Valencia.

Sky Sports News recently revealed that Rene Hake is one option after a breakdown in talks with Raphael Wicky, but Dyche has emerged as the new favourite on Sky Bet (14 January).

The former Burnley head coach is at 9-4 odds to make his way to The Hawthorns, followed by Tony Mowbray, Steven Schumacher and Hake in the list of potential new managers.

West Brom can't appoint Sean Dyche as manager

The Black Country outfit can't appoint the ex-Everton head coach due to his defensive approach to the game.

During his time at the Toffees, the fans turned on him after witnessing boring football every week, with the Blues around the relegation zone.

While Dyche did well during his time at Burnley, taking them to the Premier League and subsequently finishing in a European position, he doesn't seem to be the right fit for the West Midlands side.

West Brom evolved into a more attack-minded side under Corberan, which worked wonders for them, reaching the play-off semi-finals last season.

The Spanish head coach left the Baggies around the top six, having lost just three games, and changed the expectations among the fanbase.

Chris Brunt has done well to maintain some consistency at The Albion, but it's unlikely that the Northern Irishman will be given the reins permanently.

The Hawthorns faithful will undoubtedly have questions if Dyche were to become the next manager, but it remains to be seen what Silen Patel decides.
