Thomas-Asante exit ‘already possible’ at Coventry five months after West Brom move
Brandon Thomas-Asante could leave Coventry City just five months on from his West Brom exit with Blackburn Rovers having made a £1.75million offer, according to Sky Sports.
Reporting via their online transfer centre [15 January, 10:14am], the broadcaster shared that Blackburn are said to be keen on signing Thomas-Asante, who has failed to influence proceedings at Coventry since his move from West Brom.
Game time for the ex-Baggies forward has been severely limited at Coventry, who he joined for a reported fee of £2.25m [Tom Collomosse].
West Brom made right call on Thomas-Asante
Throughout his time at The Hawthorns, Thomas-Asante certainly divided opinion among the fanbase, but his lack of impact at fellow Championship side Coventry speaks volumes.
Now 26 years old, Thomas-Asante has scored just once for the Sky Blues in the Championship, having actually picked up more yellow cards (three) than he has goal contributions (two).
Josh Maja has been superb for Albion this season and, while he is currently set to miss a period through injury, nobody could have foreseen that coming.

With that said, attacking reinforcements are certainly needed for the Baggies in the coming weeks if they are to maintain their hopes of achieving promotion.
Failure to address those concerns will undoubtedly prove detrimental to the remainder of the campaign, but they may hinge on the Baggies’ ability to end the current managerial uncertainty.
