West Brom fans all say same thing as Tony Mowbray staff confirmed

West Brom fans are buzzing to see Damia Abella kept on at The Hawthorns as Tony Mowbray’s staff are confirmed.

The 61-year-old has been chosen to succeed Carlos Corberan following the Spaniard’s surprise move to Valencia last month, with his support staff now being announced by Albion.

Alongside Abella, who was hired as the Baggies’ First Team Statistical Analyst in 2023, Mark Venus has returned as Assistant Head Coach, with James Morrison and Boaz Myhill.

Following his short stint as interim head coach, Chris Brunt has returned to his normal job as Lead Tactical Scout, Head of Loans and Pathways & PDP Talent.

However, most supporters have been focused on the continuation of Abella’s role in the Midlands, becoming a part of Mowbray’s team moving forward.

Abella is clearly a very popular figure at The Hawthorns, one who could lead the Baggies to a lot of glory in his position, with Mowbray expected to be an incredible leader.

That is exactly what the club need right now, with West Brom drawing far too many games since October, a run of results which has seen them slip from the top of the Championship table to sixth.

If Josh Maja can return quickly from injury, and Daryl Dike can make good progress on the training pitch, there is no reason why this team cannot finish in the play-off spots and battle for Premier League football

Of course, there are massive teams also competing for the same achievement this season, but with the staff now behind Mowbray, the supporters will feel anything is possible until the end of the campaign.

Losing Corberan halfway through the season was a massive blow for everyone involved at The Hawthorns, but with it being a dream for the former manager, nobody can blame his decision.

All fans can do now is look forward and get behind the new head coach.
