Grady Diangana wants to leave West Brom to join London club

West Brom star Grady Diangana wants to leave The Hawthorns to join a London club, according to DOOD.

The Baggies insider claimed in a post on X on 23 January that the former West Ham man wants to move back to the capital.

He ruled out a move abroad for the Albion star while stating that he wants to be closer to his friends and family in a follow-up post.

The 26-year-old has made 19 appearances in the Championship so far this season, scoring two goals.

Diangana set to West Brom redemption under Mowbray?

The 26-year-old has struggled this season after notching seven goals and eight assists in the second tier last campaign.

After Tony Mowbray’s arrival in the Midlands, the Democratic Republic of Congo international could bet for a change in fortunes.

He starred in the 1-1 draw with Stoke City (18 January), stepping up to score the equaliser for the Baggies with his only shot of the contest.

His contract expires at the end of the season but if he continues to perform in the second half of the season, he could earn himself a new deal, if he wants to stay.

If the report is true and he wants to move back to London then he will simply run down his deal and secure a free transfer in the summer.

He has not lived up to expectations since his £18 million move to The Hawthorns in 2020 and it may be the best option for both parties to part ways.
