West Brom ace Fellows wows Sky Sports pundit whose reminded of ex-England star
Andy Hinchcliffe has compared Tom Fellows to Chris Waddle as he praised his performances for West Brom this season.
The 21-year-old has been a standout in the Baggies squad this term with two goals and 10 assists across the season so far.
The attacker’s impressive form has led to speculation over his future during the winter transfer window however, Albion will be keen to keep him at The Hawthorns to boost their push for a play-off finish.
Speaking on the Essential EFL Podcast (23 January, 15:53), Hinchcliffe was full of praise for Fellows as he said: “He reminds me a lot of when I played against Chris Waddle, bit of a name drop there.
“He wasn’t the same type of player because Chris Waddle used to kind of come in field, play on the right but was left-footed.
“But you kind of knew what Chris was going to do, you kind of know what Tom is going to do, but you can’t stop it. “
West Brom need to keep Tom Fellows at The Hawthorns
After Carlos Corberan’s departure from the Black Country in December, Tony Mowbray has made a return to his former club in the hope that he can continue the good work started by the Spaniard.
The Baggies are currently sitting seventh in the league and one point away from the top six which is where they want to be when the season comes to an end so they remain in a strong position as it stands.
However, there is plenty of football left to be played and Albion need to make sure they are strengthening their side during the transfer window, rather than losing any crucial players.

Given Fellows is on a contract that runs until 2027, West Brom are under no pressure and therefore, they should focus on enjoying their players’ talents for now rather than cashing in.
If his comparison to Waddle is accurate, then there is a bright future ahead for the 21-year-old.
