Grady Diangana irritated as new admission made over West Brom future
Grady Diangana insists his future is in the hands of West Brom and has admitted to being irritated by his personal performances.
Diangana has had a mixed season for the Baggies and he is now looking for consistency following the appointment of Tony Mowbray.
However, his future at The Hawthorns is certainly up in the air and, in quotes reported by BBC Sport [22 January], he insisted that any decision will be out of his hands.
“I’ve just been trying to get back fit, that’s my main focus, that’s all I’ve been working towards and hopefully getting more goals,” the ex-West Ham star said.
“[My future] depends on the club and how they see me, if they need me, so it’s day by day.
“It is irritating because as a player you want to be in the rhythm of games but you always have to be positive – I’m breathing and I’m healthy.
“It’s the past now and I’ve just got to keep improving day by day and hopefully I’ll be in the team.”
Tony Mowbray could be catalyst for Diangana’s revival at West Brom
For anyone who’s watched Diangana play, there’ll be little doubts to be had over his footballing ability, with the main concerns emerging over his ability to maintain that quality over a prolonged period of time.
He has struggled for consistency this season and has started just seven league games, with just two goal contributions to his name in a side struggling in front of goal.

Mowbray, though, has shown his ability in the past to instil his faith in his players and get them back to his best. For everyone’s sake, the hope will be that he can do the same with Diangana.
Whether he has done enough to warrant a future at the club can be up for debate, but if he can get his head down and contribute for the remainder of the campaign, there will be decisions to make.
