West Brom in last-ditch hunt to sign Armstrong amid Mowbray transfer demands

West Brom are showing interest in signing Stuart Armstrong from Vancouver Whitecaps, according to DOOD.

The Baggies insider reported on 28 January that Tony Mowbray would like to add two or three more players to his side before the 3 February deadline.

This could see Albion swoop for the 32-year-old who only completed a move to the MLS outfit in September after departing Southampton after they secured promotion.

West Brom interested in Stuart Armstrong

It is clear that the new manager at The Hawthorns wants bodies through the door before the January window slams shut and Armstrong could prove to be a useful addition.

The Scotland international has bags of experience in the Premier League and also understands how to earn promotion from the second tier through the playoffs.

This could prove to be a positive factor in the dressing room at B71, regardless of how much the midfielder would be expected to pay.

It will now be interesting to see how willing the Whitecaps are to let Armstrong go considering he only moved to Canada in September.
