West Brom hold talks over Adebayo amid £7m Luton striker bid

West Brom have held talks over a deal for Luton Town striker Elijah Adebayo, according to DOOD.

The Baggies insider reported on 31 January that Albion have spoken to the 27-year-old over a potential transfer in the past week.

This comes after the Hatters made a fourth bid worth £7million for Wycombe Wanderers forward Richard Kone on Thursday [Sky Sports, 30 January].

West Brom hold talks with Luton Town for Elijah Adebayo

This update could hand Tony Mowbray and Co. the perfect opportunity to sweep in to sign the Englishman before the 3 February deadline.

It is fair to say these talks won’t come as a surprise to The Hawthorns faithful as Josh Maja and Daryl Dike both look likely to be out for an extended period.

As a result, a forward option is being eyed to help give the Baggies a boost across the second half of the season.

Adebayo could prove to be an ideal target, especially after the level of form he showed last season in the Premier League, despite struggling in the second tier so far this season.
