Karlan Grant ‘not happy’ with what Mowbray’s done at West Brom
Adrian Goldberg believes Karlan Grant will not be happy with his role at West Brom under Tony Mowbray.
The 27-year-old was rumoured to have submitted a transfer request at The Hawthorns, although reliable Baggies insider DOOD has since poured cold water on the speculation.
However, journalist and broadcaster Goldberg responded to Chris Lepkowski claim that Grant is a good rotation option on The Liquidator podcast (2 February, 27:54), and believes the forward will not be happy with his role under Mowbray.
He said: “He’s not going to be happy, that’s my point. He’s not going to be happy.”
Karlan Grant could push for West Brom exit
Although the Englishman is not actively pursuing a West Brom exit, his stance could very well change if something doesn’t give at The Hawthorns.
Grant has not played in the Baggies’ starting lineup since Mowbray’s first match in charge of his second spell, the 1-1 draw against Stoke City (18 January).
He has six goals and two assists in 29 outings to show for his efforts thus far and has contributed to propelling Albion into the Championship playoff spots.
The Baggies could very well fall out of the top six should Middlesbrough beat Sunderland on Monday (3 February), but with only 27 minutes of action at Home Park, Grant certainly would have fancied himself to make an impact from the off.

Despite Josh Maja’s long-term injury absence, Mowbray still doesn’t fancy Grant to help push West Brom further up the league table this season.
Furthermore, the arrival of Tottenham loan signing Will Lankshear could limit his game time even further – the forward certainly has an important decision to make before the 3 February deadline.
