Supporters needed a positive update after the news that Alex Palmer would be joining Premier League outfit Ipswich Town.

The Danish attacking midfielder can also play as a forward and has scored two goals and notched four assists in 15 appearances in the Superliga so far this season.

Albion will hope that he can contribute immediately to their promotion push with the West Midlands club sitting sixth in the Championship.

The “next Messi” monicker might be a bit of hyperbole but there is plenty of reason for excitement with this addition to Tony Mowbray’s squad.
