West Brom on verge of record-breaking transfer as replacement arrives in Spain
Randers have found a replacement for Tammer Bany as he edges closer to a move to West Brom, according to Tipsbladet.
The Danish newspaper reported on Monday (3 February) that Randers are set to sign Elies Mahmoud from Stade-Lausanne in the second tier of Swiss football.
It is understood that Mahmoud, 23, has already arrived at Randers’ training camp in Spain, which opens the door for Bany, 21, to sign for West Brom.
Tipsbladet claims that the fee agreed for Bany is a club record one for Randers, who are currently third in the Danish Superliga behind FC Copenhagen and Midtjylland.
It was reportedly earlier on deadline day that Albion are paying £3.35million for the Danish centre-forward.
He has scored two goals and supplied five assists in 17 appearances across all competitions this season.
West Brom on verge of signing Tammer Bany in deadline day move
Bany is reported to have passed his medical with the Baggies in Spain, meaning it may just be a matter of time before the deal is announced.
It remains to be seen if he’s flying to the UK from Spain after spending some time in Alicante with Randers’ mid-season training camp.
However, there should be time if he completed his medical a couple of hours ago and he might even be in the Black Country right now putting pen to paper and having his pictures taken in the famous blue and white stripes.

Tony Mowbray really needed a new striker before the winter transfer window closed.
Although Daryl Dike is closing in on a return to action, Josh Maja is a long-term absentee and Devante Cole isn’t really a trusted option up front.
Jed Wallace, Grady Diangana and John Swift can be drafted in to play there but why do that when, clearly, a striker the club wanted has become available?
