West Brom face Sheffield Wednesday at The Hawthorns on Saturday as they look to bounce back in the Championship.

The Owls will visit the Black Country on 8 February, with Danny Rohl's side looking to extend their unbeaten run to four matches.

Tony Mowbray has returned to Albion to replace Carlos Corberan and has had a mixed start to his latest tenure.

Team news for West Brom v Sheffield Wednesday

The Baggies made some moves on deadline day in the winter transfer window, signing Adam Armstrong and Tammer Bany.

It will be interesting to see whether Mowbray will put the duo in the starting lineup immediately to see what they're all about.

The West Midlands club will be without their go-to goalkeeper Alex Palmer, though, after his late move to Ipswich Town in the winter transfer window.

While Josh Griffiths has shown a lot of potential recently, it will be difficult for Albion to replace their former number one.

Semi Ajayi is still missing for the Black Country outfit after picking up an injury earlier in the season, with Daryl Dike and Josh Maja also on the sidelines.

West Brom have had to rely on the likes of Grady Diangana and Jed Wallace to lead the line due to the fitness issues up front, but the arrival of Armstrong and Bany changes that.

West Brom v Sheffield Wednesday predicted lineups

Mowbray could make changes after the disappointing 2-1 loss to 24th-place Plymouth Argyle at Home Park on 1 February.

Considering the dearth of options in the number nine position, new signings Armstrong and Bany could possibly make their debuts.

Griffiths will likely replace Palmer in between the stick, with Darnel Furlong, Mason Holgate, Torbjorn Heggem and Callum Styles making up the back four.

Tom Fellows, Alex Mowatt, Jayson Molumby and Mikey Johnston will probably start in the middle of the park, with Grady Diangana and Armstrong being thrown into the deep end.

West Brom: Griffiths, Furlong, Holgate, Heggem, Styles, Fellows, Mowatt, Molumby, Johnston, Diangana, Armstrong.

Sheffield Wednesday: Beadle, Valery, Ihiekwe, Bernard, Lowe, Paterson, Charles, Bannan, Gassama, Windass, Smith.

Prediction: West Brom 3-1 Sheffield Wednesday

The Baggies should be confident of winning against Sheffield Wednesday, who sit 10th in the league table.

Rohl's team have won just once in their last five Championship outings, similar to Albion.

The West Midlands outfit will arguably get some much-needed boost with their new signings, though, and Mowbray has already shown that he can bring the best out of the attack.

It wouldn't be surprising to see The Hawthorns faithful witness their team beating The Owls 3-1.
