Tony Mowbray set to make ‘Bold’ West Brom statement as Mowatt speaks out
Alex Mowatt has revealed that Tony Mowbray is set to make some bold West Brom statements in his actions moving forward.
Although West Brom find themselves sitting fifth in the Championship, their form has been inconsistent of late which is something Mowbray will be eager to fix for the end of season run in.
There are just four points between fifth and 11th in the Championship table meaning there is plenty of work to be done before a play-off spot is secured this term.

Mowatt ready for tough Mowbray decisions
Mowatt has been a regular in the West Brom squad this season, making 31 appearances across the campaign under the management of both Carlos Corberan and Mowbray.
Following Corberan’s exit to take the job at Valencia, there was always going to be a period of transition when it came to styles of football.
Mowbray’s tenure so far has drawn some criticism from supporters but sitting in the play-off spots has to be the most important thing at this point.

West Brom v Portsmouth | 5-1 |
Plymouth v West Brom | 2-1 |
West Brom v Sheffield Wednesday | 2-1 |
West Brom v Blackburn | 0-2 |
Millwall v West Brom | 1-1 |
West Brom v Oxford United | 2-0 |
Furthermore, Mowatt argues that the boss will not be scared to change things to benefit the team ahead of a tough trip to Leeds on Saturday.
Speaking to The Express and Star (26 February), he said: “The levels have improved, there is a lot of competition.
“The gaffer is going to make bold statements, he will see certain players for certain games and make changes that suit the game.
“We have just got to train as we can and if we get the chance play as we can.
“We’ve definitely got the freedom to go and play.”

Mowbray eyeing playoffs with West Brom
West Brom have had their eyes on a play-off finish throughout the season so far and despite some inconsistent form of late, sitting fifth in the table means they are on track.
However, with the close point gaps at the top end of the Championship table, there is still time for plenty of movement before the conclusion of the campaign.
Furthermore, an experienced manager like Mowbray will know he cannot get comfortable, hence why he is seemingly ready to put different actions in motion to get the best out of his side.
Albion have some talented players in their ranks and while having a settled team is something that can help the squad, Mowbray has to use the players he has available to him to push his side on.
The Championship is a notoriously difficult league to get out of and with that in mind, no wonder the boss is eager to try his different options now so when it comes to the crunch time, he feels confident about who he has available to him.
It will be interesting to see if there are any dramatic changes at Elland Road on 1 March.
