West Brom schedule fresh Diangana talks amid shock transfer news
Grady Diangana could be set to leave West Brom in the summer.
The 26-year-old has failed to hit the lofty expectations that were expected of him since he moved to The Hawthorns permanently for £18 million in September 2020.
The Democratic Republic of Congo international had enjoyed a mini-revival when Tony Mowbray was first appointed, notching five goal contributions in three matches but has been forced to settle for a reduced role recently.
The former West Ham man is out of contract in the summer and no resolution has been reached on his future so far.

West Brom schedule Diangana talks
The Baggies have scheduled a new round of talks with the winger, according to a report from the Football League Paper.
However, the report (page 4, 2 March) claims that Diangana has “no real incentive” to agree to a new deal with interest from Serie A club Palma and La Liga outfits Celta Vigo and Las Palmas.
It also states that Championship rivals Burnley are among the interest parties in the Albion ace.

Diangana should move on from West Brom
An exit seems like the most likely move for the good of both parties since Diangana has struggled to match last season’s impressive tally of seven goals and eight assists.
There were hopes that he could kick on and become a real impact player for Albion in their push for promotion to the Premier League but that has not materialised as he has struggled for regular game time under both Carlos Corberan and Mowbray.
Stats (Championship 24/25) | Diangana |
Matches played | 26 |
Minutes | 1154 |
Goals | 4 |
Assists | 2 |
The four-cap international has notched just four goals and two assists in 27 appearances in all competitions for the Black Country club this season and the majority of those came in the 5-1 hammering of Portsmouth (two goals, two assists) in an otherwise dismal campaign.
His career has been a story of what-ifs so far and he may need a fresh start away from the West Midlands to find his best form and the club can use the funds freed up by his wages to sign a new attacker that can have a greater impact.
