West Brom exclusive: Doctor issues Daryl Dike injury update
West Brom have to be very careful with the minutes they give Daryl Dike post his injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that given how long he spent on the sidelines, coupled with multiple injury rehabs, he’s got a higher risk of re-injury.
The 24-year-old played 13 minutes against Millwall and seven minutes against Leeds United over the last few weeks.

Baggies forward Daryl Dike may not be back to full fitness until next season
The Baggies striker may not be at 100 per cent for a while and that could even be until next season.
Thus far, he’s played only 20 minutes this season and is still a long way away from being at his best.
Reacting to his situation, injury expert Dr Brar – who is a physical therapy specialist and sports scientist – has told West Brom News: “Considering his extensive time off and multiple injury rehabs, you have to be very patient and methodical with his minutes, training, and physio.
“He’s now getting bounce matches to build up fitness, confidence and rhythm and have to see how he responds to those before gradually bumping them up.
“He won’t be back to 100 per cent for a while, likely until next season, but that’s expected after his recent injuries.“

Tony Mowbray must be patient with Daryl Dike at West Brom
As Dr Brar rightly mentioned, it is very important for the Baggies to be patient with Dike.
While his quality as a striker cannot be doubted, Tony Mowbray must resist the urge to throw him right into the mix.

It may take several games off the bench before the United States striker is ready to start matches regularly.
Hopefully, his rehab has gone well and his fitness issues are behind him so the Baggies fans see how lethal he can be at his very best and add to his goal numbers next season.
