West Brom v QPR result predicted by supercomputer
West Brom will look to secure a double for the season against QPR when they host Marti Cifuentes’ side at The Hawthorns this weekend.
Tony Mowbray’s team secured an impressive 1-1 draw last weekend against league leaders and promotion favourites Leeds United and are favourites to win against mid-table side QPR on Saturday.
A win against the Hoops will keep them in the hunt for a play-off spot for Premier League promotion as Coventry, West Brom, Bristol City and Blackburn remain in a tight contest for fifth and sixth positions in the Championship table.
While Coventry are just one point ahead of the trio, West Brom, Bristol City and Blackburn are tied on 52 points, only to be separated by goal difference. In fact, Middlesbrough are not too far behind either, sitting ninth with 50 points.
The last time Baggies faced QPR was on the opening day of the 2024-25 Championship season ,and Josh Maja stole the headlines with a brilliant hat-trick to propel the visitors to a 3-1 win at Loftus Road.
With Cifuentes’ side losing five of their last seven games, QPR are in dire need of points. However, their trip to The Hawthorns hasn’t been pleasant in recent times, with their last win at the Baggies’ home ground coming all the way in 2015.
With the West Midlands club ready to take on QPR on Saturday, a supercomputer has predicted the result and rated West Brom’s chances of securing a win.

West Brom favourites to win vs QPR
Opta’s supercomputer has predicted a win for the hosts as Mowbray’s side look to extend their unbeaten run to four games.
West Brom have a 53-per-cent chance of winning the clash and maintaining the pressure on Coventry in the Championship table.
Opposition | Win/Loss/Draw |
Leeds United (1st March) | Draw (1-1) |
Oxford united (22nd February) | Win (2-0) |
Millwall (15th February) | Draw (1-1) |
Blackburn (12th February) | Loss (0-2) |
Sheffield Wednesday (8th February) | Win (2-1) |
The visitors are the clear underdogs going into this tie as they have been given a 22-cent chance of securing all three points at The Hawthorns.
While the hosts are more than twice as likely to win, the super computer has predicted a 23-per-cent likelihood of the two sides sharing the spoils on Saturday.

Tony Mowbray’s side cannot lose steam ahead of the business end of Championship
A win for the Baggies is crucial against QPR and history and recent form are in their favour.
An upset can severely cause harm to West Brom’s Premier League promotion aspirations as they are locked in a tight race with four other clubs, separated by very fine margins.
With just 11 games to go in the league and tricky opponents like Burnley, Sunderland and Bristol City about to face the West Midlands outfit, West Brom will be hoping not to drop points against an out-of-form QPR.
