West Brom stars sing Jayson Molumby song in brilliant Cheltenham footage

West Brom have improved their form of late and are setting the pace for the rest of the chasing pack for the Championship play-off places.

Albion secured a 1-1 draw at Burnley on Tuesday night (11 March), maintaining their fifth-place berth in the league table.

Back at The Hawthorns this Saturday against Hull City (15 March), it seemed only fair Tony Mowbray allowed them a day off after returning from Turf Moor to bond away from the training ground.

West Brom players at Cheltenham as footage emerges

West Brom players were seen enjoying themselves the day after the Burnley clash, spending time together away from football at the Cheltenham Festival on Wednesday (12 March).

In hilarious footage via content creator Tom Garratt’s Instagram story, Garratt was seen belting out the “Molumby, he’s in your head” chant alongside several of the Baggies squad including Callum Styles, Devante Cole and Adam Armstrong.

X user @L33475 reposted the footage, which since expired on Garratt’s story, on his page which was reacted to with great amusement by the Albion fans, who believe the team deserve some time off.

The song centred on Molumby has become a regular hit among the Baggies support, regularly heard from the away end at Turf Moor on Tuesday evening.

The Irish international midfielder has made 33 appearances in all competitions so far this season, scoring four goals and claiming one assist.

Hull test can see momentum continue into international break

West Brom will look to continue their unbeaten run up until at least the forthcoming international break when the Hull contest has been played.

Mowbray could shuffle his pack for the Baggies and keep players fresh, having been forced to put square pegs in round holes in certain areas of his line-up at Burnley.

As it turned out, players stepped up to the plate superbly. Ousmane Diakite was a rock at centre-half, while Isaac Price excelled in a more defensive role.

Styles – who featured in Garratt’s video and will soon be expected in the Hungarian national squad for next week’s fixtures – was again terrific out on the left of the backline for West Brom.

Albion will be favourites against the Tigers but Mowbray will drill into his players not to get complacent, but to keep playing their increasingly expressive brand of football at The Hawthorns.
