West Brom fans ‘frustrated’ after ’embarrassing’ footage emerges from Hull draw
West Brom shared a pointless clip from their clash with Hull City, despite having to settle for a point.
Tony Mowbray’s side remain on course for a playoff position come the end of the campaign, though their 1-1 draw at home to Hull City caused plenty of frustration.
The Baggies have won just one of their last four Championship encounters, with the other three resulting in a 1-1 draw, showcasing some of the frailties that have held them back.
Very few will look at the result against Hull as a good one, leaving many frustrated that West Brom decided to rave over one particular piece of footage.

John Swift footage causes unrest
Despite West Brom being far from their best at The Hawthorns, the social team still opted to share clips from the performance, much to the dismay of the fanbase.
John Swift, who has been somewhat of a pantomime villain at West Brom this season, was seen doing a rabona skill move in the game, which, of course, led to nothing, yet it was still shared on X, leaving fans baffled.

Find this very frustrating – a pointless bit of skill being highlighted. Can we show the times he backed out of challenges or gave the ball away needlessly? Would love him to find his best form, but highly unlikely #wba https://t.co/W1wMC1j8Pe

Surely you post this with 3 points in the bag? https://t.co/9jagEfZOSe

It led to nothing why are we praising this pointless bit of skill? Any talk of a new contract for him is bewildering currently… less than a handful of good cameos doesn’t cover up the fact he’s been poor for the last 12-18 months #wba https://t.co/jkiyXK3Alb

That’s about the best thing he did all game

Can’t wait til those extra points are added for Swift’s rabona.

Diangana does this and its “teckerz” swift does it then its a waste. They are both shocking just enjoy them

To be fair it’s a pointless bit of “skill” could of just knocked it on with his left foot 🙃

The PR the official account has done for Swift over the years is embarrassing. Not even sure that’s a completed pass. Never has a player been spotlighted for less.

West Brom need to improve
If a piece of skill that leads to nothing is the highlight of a game, that’s when you know things need to improve if West Brom are to finish inside the top six.
Throughout the campaign, a lack of consistency has prevented the Baggies from kicking on and cementing their spot in the playoffs, and with just eight games remaining, time is running out.
Championship 5th-8th | W | D | L | P |
Coventry | 17 | 8 | 13 | 59 |
West Brom | 13 | 18 | 7 | 57 |
Bristol City | 14 | 15 | 9 | 57 |
Middlesbrough | 15 | 9 | 14 | 54 |
The race for a top-six finish is remarkably tight, and with the form of Coventry and Bristol City, there is every chance that the Baggies could fall short if performances don’t improve.
With the international break upon us, it will provide Mowbray with an excellent opportunity to address the concerns and ensure that West Brom can have a strong end to the season.
