Adam Armstrong could be dropped by Mowbray if he does not sort irritating West Brom issue
Adam Armstrong was taken off by Tony Mowbray in West Brom’s 1-1 draw against Burnley last week.
On loan from Southampton, Armstrong was brought to the West Brom side to supply goals as they remain the lowest goalscoring side in the top seven.
Burnley and West Brom shared the spoils at Turf Moor on 11 March as the Baggies continued their Championship play-off spot pursuit. Mowbray’s side sit sixth in the table with 57 points, level with Bristol City but with a better goal difference.
After the Burnley game, West Brom played Hull City but could only manage a draw as Armstrong was once again taken off by Mowbray after 75 minutes.

Tony Brown irritated with Adam Armstrong
West Brom’s all-time top goalscorer Tony Brown was left irritated with the English striker against Burnley.
Since joining the Baggies, Armstrong has made eight appearances but there has been an issue that has been noticed in his game which could lead Mowbray to drop the 28-year-old striker.
Brown noticed that Armstrong was adjudged offside on a number of occasions against Burnley. He pointed out that the striker made two or three runs and all were offside. Armstrong needs to bend his run or he’ll continue being offside and will fall in the offside trap that is set up by the opposition.
If Armstrong doesn’t work on his runs and cannot keep himself onside, Mowbray may take a harsh decision to bench the Southampton loanee. West Brom have scored 48 goals in 38 games and goalscoring chances haven’t come easily to the Baggies.
If Armstrong doesn’t work on his runs, he will continue to get flagged and very little will come out of West Brom’s attack in the future.
The West Midlands side expect more out of Armstrong and he needs to deliver on a regular basis if they are to qualify for the Championship play-offs and have a shot at Premier League promotion.

West Brom cannot afford slip-ups in Championship play-off race
The unexpected draw against relegation-threatened Hull City saw the Baggies drop to sixth-spot, two points behind Coventry City. West Brom, Coventry, Bristol and Middlesborough are separated by just four points and occupy fifth to eighth positions in the table.
If Mowbray’s side continue to drop points, they could lose out on a Championship play-off spot and in turn lose their chance to secure Premier League promotion.
With eight games to go and West Brom scheduled to face Sunderland, Bristol and Coventry, the Championship play-off race could become feisty. The Baggies have a solid chance of securing a top-six finish but they need players like Armstrong to deliver and play a vital role in the final few games.
