Isaac Price stuns BBC pundit live on air after what he did away from West Brom

West Brom midfielder Isaac Price showed exactly what he is capable of while away on international duty with Northern Ireland.

Price joined West Brom in the January transfer window from Standard Liege and has impressed almost instantly at The Hawthorns.

In nine Championship games, the 21-year-old has scored once and assisted one goal, showing his talent in the middle of the park.

Price has now become a regular starter in Northern Ireland’s midfield, earning his eighteenth cap in the friendly game against Switzerland on Friday (21 March).

The hosts were awarded a free-kick in the 16th minute of the game and Price stepped up to take it. The West Brom midfielder slotted the ball in the top-right corner, giving Michael O’Neill’s side the lead in the game.

BBC pundit Stephen Craigan was full of praise for the West Brom man when speaking live on

Craigan was left amazed by Price’s strike as he commented on BBC Two NI [21 March, 8:04pm]: “It’s been quite quiet on the attacking front from Northern Ireland, but they get one opportunity and a piece of magic from Isaac Price puts them in front.”

West Brom’s fight for Championship play-off spot

Tony Mowbray’s side are locked in a fight for a Championship play-off spot with Coventry City, Bristol City and Middlesbrough.

The four sides are separated by just five points, with Coventry and West Brom currently occupying the final two play-off places.

The Baggies are in sixth on 57 points, level with Bristol City but with a better goal difference. With just eight games to go, the race for play-off spots is going to go right down the wire and Mowbray will need his troops to be firing on all cylinders.

Price could play an important role in the midfield as he has earned the trust of Mowbray since joining the Baggies and displays the versatility to slot anywhere in the midfield.

Players like Adam Armstrong and Grady Diangana also need to lead from the front and help West Brom to achieve their promotion dream.
