Will Lankshear reacts to what Arsenal star Ethan Nwaneri did at The Hawthorns
The Hawthorns played host to the England under-21 side, with some of the country’s best young talents on display.
West Brom’s stadium was the location as England’s young stars put on a show against Portugal, winning 4-2 in an outstanding performance.
One of the goalscorers on the night, Ethan Nwaneri, is gaining a lot of attention this season following his remarkable breakthrough into the Arsenal first-team, and 15000 West Brom and England fans had a first-person glimpse at the teenage winger.

England at The Hawthorns
This game was not the first time an England side has played at The Hawthorns Stadium, but it was the first in over 15 years.
The last England youth game to be played at the West Brom stadium was an under-20s fixture against Montenegro in 2009, which England won 5-0.
The England senior side played at The Hawthorns twice during the 1920s, but have not returned since.
Several B team and youth games were played there in the 1970s, but perhaps this victory may spark a revival in the country’s best talents shining at the Hawthorns.
West Brom have not had an England international at the club since Sam Johnstone, whilst in previous years West Brom have had emerging talents such as Saido Berahino turn out for the national youth teams whilst progressing at the Hawthorns.
