Isaac Price ‘unusually quiet’ as West Brom star slammed after Northern Ireland loss
Isaac Price looked to take his West Brom form into international football this week with Northern Ireland.
Northern Ireland were in action against Sweden on Tuesday (25 March) in an international friendly that proved to be a game for Michael O’Neill’s men to forget.
Sweden dominated the fixture from start to finish, winning 5-1 after goals from Emil Holm, Benjamin Nygren, Ken Sema, Alexander Isak, and Anthony Elanga.
It rounded out a mixed international break for Northern Ireland after they drew 1-1 against Switzerland during their previous outing, but it has been a positive period for Baggies playmaker Price.

Price showcased his attacking quality
Price has been in fine form for West Brom since joining the club in January, and he took his goalscoring qualities into international duty as he found the back of the net against Switzerland.
The 21-year-old repeated that on Tuesday and gave the travelling Northern Ireland fans something to cheer about as he scored in the 89th minute against Sweden.
However, beyond the goal, it wasn’t one of his brightest performances, as Belfast Live gave him a 6/10 and said it was an “unusually quiet night before his late goal.”
The Belfast Telegraph agreed with that review as they also gave Price a 6/10 rating and said that he is “oozing confidence, but one long-range effort came to nothing, and he was on [the] periphery of game until his late deflected finish found the net.”

Baggies fans will be pleased that Price was described as someone who “can be relied on to provide an attacking threat,” which is the type of form they will want him to bring back to The Hawthorns.

Price could fire West Brom into the playoffs
Price has only scored once so far for Tony Mowbray’s team since he joined the club mid-season, but after scoring two goals on international duty, he should return to West Brom with lots of confidence.
The Baggies are preparing for the final section of the season as they look to push to confirm a place in the Championship playoffs with only eight games remaining.
West Brom are set for a tough run of fixtures when club football returns as they play various teams also vying for promotion, in what will be a make-or-break period.
