Maja ‘might be done at West Brom’ after Mowbray admission and Spain transfer news
Josh Maja may have played his last game for West Brom.
The 26-year-old is still Albion’s top scorer in the Championship this season despite being out of action since January with a calf problem.
The Baggies have won just four of the 12 matches that they have played without the Nigeria international, which shows how important he is to their chances of securing promotion to the Premier League.
However, the Baggies have received a new blow when it comes to their star man’s fitness for the run-in that could affect his long-term future.

Maja might not play for West Brom again after Mowbray admission
Maja has been vital for West Brom this season, but his latest injury blow means that he may never play for the club again if a certain set of circumstances go against the Baggies.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of the Norwich clash on Saturday (29 March), Tony Mowbray confirmed that the 12-goal star may not return until the play-offs.
He said: “I saw Maja on Tuesday, happy, nice and smiley but still feels as if he is a little bit away but hopefully if we can extend the season he might have a part to play.”
However, if the Baggies fail to make the end-of-season showdown, Maja may not play another game for Albion with transfer interest from Spain still lingering.

West Brom need to ensure that they make the playoffs
If Baggies supporters are to see Maja in action again, the club needs to make it into the playoffs after the update from Mowbray.
With eight matches left to play, Albion occupy the final qualification place for a potential Wembley berth but Bristol City and Middlesbrough could overhaul them in the closing stages of the campaign.

If that happens and Mowbray’s side miss out on the playoffs, Maja may decide to move on in the summer transfer window with the likes of Real Sociedad and Celta Vigo potentially reigniting their interest in a £16million deal.
Chelsea and Tottenham have also been linked with the Black Country club’s top marksman and the West Midlands outfit will have to brace for significant bids if they fail to secure promotion.
Obviously, if The Hawthorns is hosting Premier League football next season, the former Sunderland man would probably resist that interest to showcase his talents in the top tier with the Baggies.
