West Brom fans baffled as Mowbray confirms starting lineup v Norwich — ‘Shocking’
West Brom have confirmed their starting lineup as they face Norwich City in the Championship away from home on Saturday.
Carrow Road hosts Tony Mowbray’s team on 29 March as the two teams hope to get into the play-offs spot.
The Baggies are sixth in the league table and need to pick up as many points as they can in the final eight games of the season to secure a top-six finish.
Championship promotion will be challenging for the Albion to achieve, and their starting lineup against the Canaries has already left supporters with many questions.
Mowbray baffles with West Brom starting lineup v Norwich
The Albion confirmed on X (29 March) that Mowbray has made two changes to the starting lineup against Norwich.
Callum Styles and Tom Fellows have replaced Isaac Price and Mikey Johnston at Carrow Road.
Some of The Hawthorns faithful aren’t pleased with the selection, though, with one fan on X terming the starting lineup “shocking”.
Price and Johnston’s exclusion particularly hasn’t gone down well with the Baggies’ fans on social media.

I hope it works, and I don’t wanna tempt fate, but if it’s 0-0 at half time and Armstrong hasn’t had a sniff, there’s been no width on the left, and Swift gets lost, then don’t be surprised

Shilen Patel will hope for progress at The Hawthorns
Shilen Patel has turned things around at The Hawthorns since completing a takeover back in February 2024.
The financial situation at the Baggies has improved since BIlkul Football’s arrival, stabilising them for a potentially prosperous future.
Carlos Corberan’s exit was a big blow for the Black Country outfit, but the owners didn’t panic and took their time to assess options.
In the end, Mowbray was chosen to lead West Brom forward, and the English manager has a track record of success at the West Midlands club.
Championship table | Points |
5. Coventry | 59 |
6. West Brom | 57 |
7. Bristol | 57 |
The Albion are unbeaten in their last five Championship fixtures, but they will want to get back to winning ways after back-to-back draws.
Mowbray’s team dropped two points at The Hawthorns against Hull City before the international break, leaving them level on points with seventh-place Bristol City.
The Baggies could potentially find themselves out of the play-offs spots if they don’t win against Norwich at home.
Fans hope the West Midlands outfit’s starting lineup has what it takes to take the three points home.
