West Brom beaten despite praise for recent ticket announcements – Exclusive
West Brom are once again pushing for promotion back to the Premier League this season.
The Baggies have been fairly inconsistent in the Championship this season, but still sit sixth in the table as they push for success in the playoffs.
Tony Mowbray has managed to steady the ship, despite the mid-season exit of Carlos Corberan that rocked The Hawthorns.

West Brom are delivering great value
While other clubs, such as Leeds, have significantly increased season ticket prices for next season, West Brom have been lauded for their “fantastic value”.
Early bird purchases will allow fans to buy a season ticket for next season at £419, which would work out at £18.22 per match, if the Baggies remain in the Championship, with under-14 season tickets only £23.
Dan Plumley, a football finance expert, admits that West Brom are in mid-table for prices, sharing that there are cheaper tickets available in the second tier.
“It’s good value in the context of the Championship,” he exclusively told West Brom News.
“Actually, within the Championship, if we look at the cheapest prices, it puts them around mid-table, and I’m basing that on last year’s full ticket list.
“West Brom were actually 12th in that list based on the cheapest season ticket and therefore price-per-match.
“This would actually put them to 15th, assuming everyone else keeps prices the same.
“It is good value on a per-match basis, but there are cheaper ones in the Championship as well, so there may be movement on that, but it puts them mid-table again and higher than they were last season.”

West Brom need to make a Premier League return for financial reasons
The focus for West Brom in the final spell of games is simply achieving a spot in the playoffs, as the Baggies want to have the best possible chance of earning promotion.
If the Midlands side can earn promotion, then they will likely have more demand for individual tickets, which would benefit their overall revenue.
West Brom might have to achieve that since it was confirmed that the Baggies’ losses have recently trebled to £34million after just getting back on track following their PSR restrictions.
It has been a difficult period for West Brom financially, but the fact that they haven’t taken that out on the fans when it comes to ticket prices is encouraging and will have kept supporters’ spirits up.
