Mowbray sack: West Brom told to fire manager after ‘garbage’ scenes v Sunderland
Tony Mowbray finds himself in an extremely difficult position after West Brom lost 1-0 to Sunderland in the Championship on Saturday.
The Hawthorns welcomed Regis Le Bris’ team on 5 April, and the hosts were handed their second consecutive loss in the league as Trai Hume found the back of the net from a free-kick.
The Albion’s hopes of making the Championship play-offs have taken a big hit as they sit two points behind sixth-place Coventry City.
Mowbray replaced Carlos Corberan almost midway through the season, but some supporters already want to see him gone.

West Brom fans call for Mowbray sacking after Sunderland defeat
The English manager’s appointment at The Hawthorns was welcomed with both arms as he returned to a familiar environment where he’d already tasted success.
Shilen Patel and Bilkul Football had a big decision to make after Corberan’s exit, but it looks like they got it wrong, as a few fans on social media have already made their feelings known.
One fan on X (5 April) called the Baggies’ display “garbage”, while others made judgments about the former Birmingham City head coach’s future at the West Midlands outfit.
The Hawthorns faithful have grown increasingly frustrated with Mowbray for consistently dropping points and have demanded his immediate sacking.
Garbage. Can’t believe I got up to watch that.

If TM can't see now that Wildsmith needs to be dropped then a decision needs to be made end of the season

Play-offs are fading away so fast now.

Too late this season but… I wouldn’t complain if there was a new manager at the helm in the summer. Love TM to bits but increasingly looking like a mistake.
Mowbray is dividing us more than he’s uniting us, we can’t seem to score goals and we’ve lost 2 on the bounce. Amazing.

Bilkul Football have massive Mowbray decision to make before season ends
Bilkul Football’s investment at The Hawthorns has been relatively successful as the Baggies have found some financial stability under the new owners.
While fans are yet to turn against Patel, it’s just a matter of time before the fingers are pointed at them if the Black Country club continue to falter.
The Albion lost in the play-off’s semi-finals last season, and failure to reach Wembley this season will arguably be considered a failure.
West Brom sold Alex Palmer in the winter transfer window, which came as a shock to most supporters.
The 28-year-old shot-stopper had been a pivotal player for the West Midlands outfit, and the decision to sell him mid-campaign raises serious concerns about the ownership’s ambition.
Patel might argue that the goalkeeper’s exit was necessary for PSR reasons, but it still doesn’t bode well as The Hawthorns faithful see their team’s decline.
If Mowbray fails to make the play-offs, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him get sacked at the end of the season.
How the saga unfolds remains to be seen.
