Diangana should be made to rot in West Brom reserves if Wolves news is true

Grady Diangana could be set to destroy his West Brom legacy.

The DR Congo winger has endured a difficult season for the Baggies, making just 13 starts in the Championship.

His contract is set to expire at the end of the season and both parties do not seem any closer to a deal as the campaign winds to a close.

Albion fans would not begrudge him leaving to find his best form again but they may hate him if he chooses one of the options that is available to him.

Diangana could make shock Wolves switch

Diangana has struggled for West Brom this season but there is still a very talented player there and at 26-year-old, there is still time for him to thrive.

A report from the print edition of The Sun (page 55, 6 April) claims that the former West Ham youth ace is holding off on a move to MLS with the hope that Wolves and Leeds increase their interest.

It is understandable that he wants to return to the Premier League to showcase his talents in the top-flight but if it was with the Old Gold, it would be a devastating blow for the Baggies.

Mowbray should relegate Diangana to the reserves if Wolves news is accurate

If Diangana is genuinely pursuing a move to one of the Baggies’ arch-rivals, it is unforgivable and he should be dropped into the youth ranks immediately by Tony Mowbray.

He should never play a senior match for the club ever again if he is even entertaining the switch across the Black Country; it is unfathomable, especially when there is not even a fee attached that would benefit West Brom.

Albion supporters could watch him play for Leeds, as there is no rivalry there, other than a competitive one and while it would be hard to stomach if he excels away from The Hawthorns in the Premier League, he has given his all and made nearly 200 appearances for the Baggies.

Surely the DR Congo star is aware of the heartbreak and anger that a switch to Wolves would bring and hopefully he is smart enough not to cross that divide.
