Lee Hendrie called out live on Sky Sports over West Brom snub
Lee Hendrie has caused controversy with his latest claims on West Brom ahead of the clash with Coventry.
The Baggies are currently in seventh place in the Championship, just three points behind their opponents, and could get back into the playoff places with a victory.
Should the result go the other way, Albion would be six points off Frank Lampard’s side and their chances of a playoff berth would look unlikely.
Therefore, it is a must win game for the Black Country club as the gap may be too big to breach if they are defeated.

West Brom snubbed live on Sky Sports
Four teams are in with a realistic chance of finishing in the last top six spot, but Tony Mowbray‘s side were overlooked in a Sky Sports segment.
Former Aston Villa star Hendrie mentioned the Sky Blues, Middlesbrough and Millwall but failed to mention the Baggies.
Host David Garrido called out the 47-year-old (18 April, 12:10pm), saying: “You’re saying nothing about West Brom in this segment here.”
Hendrie responded, saying: “I know but I think out of the teams that I’m looking at West Brom, Tony Mowbray, he knows how to do it, I just think they’ve probably been the team that hasn’t attracted me to watch.”

Mowbray can still guide West Brom to the playoffs
The Baggies have had to deal with several issues this season, such as Carlos Corberan’s mid-season departure for Valencia, Profit and Sustainability concerns and the sale of starting goalkeeper Alex Palmer on deadline day.
However, they are still in contention for the top six and a potential Premier League berth if they can find the consistency that has eluded them in the final few weeks of the campaign and finish strongly.
Championship | Played | GD | Points |
6. Coventry | 42 | +5 | 63 |
7. West Brom | 42 | +12 | 60 |
8. Middlesbrough | 42 | +10 | 60 |
If they can beat Lampard’s side, there is every chance that they can make the end-of-season showdown as their last three matches are very favourable.
Mowbray’s side face relegation strugglers in their final games, with a trip to Cardiff (26 April) sandwiched between clashes with Derby (21 April) and Luton (3 May) at The Hawthorns.
All of those games are winnable and they might have to get all nine points to secure their chance at promotion as the race goes down to the wire.
If they lose against the Sky Blues, it will look like a very unlikely prospect and Mowbray may struggle to keep hold of his job.
