Mowbray ‘will be sacked within 48 hours’ after what has happened at West Brom
West Brom have not gone in the direction expected when Tony Mowbray made his return to The Hawthorns.
Having once looked as though playoffs were all but nailed on, West Brom’s defeat to Coventry on Good Friday has raised some serious doubts about their whereabouts come the end of the season.
A playoff spot is looking unlikely for West Brom, who have arguably gone backwards since the appointment of Mowbray.
Fans had already called for Mowbray to be sacked weeks before the defeat to the Sky Blues, and there is a good chance that the Albion faithful will get their wish in the next two days.

West Brom have lacked consistency all season
After the defeat to Coventry, the Baggies now sit six points behind them, and as a result, six points outside of the playoff places.
Albion have won just one of their last seven games in what has been a horrid run of form, and it is undoubtedly going to prove costly.
Championship | Played | GD | Points |
6. Coventry | 43 | +7 | 66 |
7. Middlesbrough | 43 | +10 | 61 |
8. West Brom | 43 | +10 | 60 |
With just three games remaining in the Championship, West Brom may need to win all of them to have a chance of finishing inside the top six, though if they lose on Monday and Coventry win, their playoff ambitions will be officially over.
If that were to be the case, there is every chance that Mowbray would face the sack so that the Baggies would have time to appoint a new manager in preparation for the new campaign.

Carlos Corberan departure derailed Albion
Ever since the departure of Carlos Corberan, there has been very little to shout home about for the Baggies, and the Spaniard is now thriving at Valencia.
Very few would have argued against Corberan being the best manager in the division at the time, and West Brom simply got it wrong with the appointment of Mowbray.
It’s very unlikely that Mowbray will be here next season, showcasing just how important it is for the next appointment to be the right one.
