Cardiff City v West Brom result predicted by supercomputer
West Brom begin life without Tony Mowbray with a trip to face relegation-threatened Cardiff City this weekend.
Mowbray was sacked hours after Albion’s home loss to Derby County on Monday (21 April) and it is over to James Morrison to oversee matters until a permanent replacement is named.
With a top-six finish now a pipedream, West Brom must use these final two fixtures against sides at the wrong end of the division to help lift the mood heading into the summer.
Morrison has some big selection calls to make against Cardiff, who are three points from safety with just two matches remaining.

West Brom favourites to overcome Cardiff City
The mood may be low around The Hawthorns right now, but it is even lower in South Wales as Cardiff are seemingly heading to League One.
A Premier League side not long ago, it has been a dreadful campaign for the Bluebirds and they effectively need two wins from two to stay up given their poor goal difference.
Opponent | Venue | Date |
Cardiff City | Cardiff City Stadium | 26 April |
Luton Town | The Hawthorns | 3 May |
Cardiff have won just nine of their 44 Championship matches all season and recently put Aaron Ramsey in caretaker charge.
And according to Opta’s supercomputer, Cardiff are unlikely to move into double figures for victories this weekend as they have just a 32.1 per cent chance of winning.
That compares to 42.5 per cent for West Brom, making them the favourites, with a draw given a 25.4 per cent likelihood of happening at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Morrison has chance to lift mood at West Brom
The dust has settled on Mowbray’s exit from West Brom, with some big names already being touted with the managerial position.
For now, it is over to Morrison to at least steady the ship and end the season with six points from six against Cardiff and Luton.
Losing in the manner Albion did at home to Derby was embarrassing, but the players do now have a quick turnaround in fixtures to get that loss out of the system.
The season has ended in a disappointing manner, but that is not to say Albion cannot come back stronger once the 2025-26 season gets up and running.
