‘Wallace finished at West Brom’ as ‘unacceptable’ verdict emerges at The Hawthorns
Jed Wallace is staring a West Brom exit in the face as the summer transfer window looms at The Hawthorns.
The 31-year-old has largely been a bit-part player as the Baggies look set to bottle a playoff spot with just one game remaining in the Championship.
This has resulted in Tony Mowbray facing the sack from the dugout in B71 after a 3-1 home defeat against a relegation-threatened Derby County side.
Now it looks likely that Wallace could be set to follow the head coach out the door in the Black Country after what has been said.

Wallace faces uncertain future at West Brom
The versatile attacker joined Albion from Millwall back in 2022 and was highly anticipated after his five-year spell with the Lions.
In his time at The Den, the Englishman netted 39 goals, but it is fair to say that he has failed to live up to expectation in the West Midlands.
As a result, it is little surprise that the Baggies captain has made just six starts in the second tier this campaign under both Mowbray and Carlos Corberan.

Now that the summer window is just around the corner, a new manager is likely to oversee a number of changes in the squad at The Hawthorns.
With comments made about the Baggies to BBC Radio WM, shared via BBC Sport (28 April), it is fair to say an exit could be on the cards.
He said: “At times like this, you have to look at yourself – as a group of players, you have to look at yourself and say how many of us have had a good season? I know I certainly haven’t.
“It’s disappointing, looking at the table in disbelief. The amount of chances we’ve missed, the amount of late goals and individual errors is the tale of the season – it’s not acceptable for a club this size.”
Although this may be appreciated by some supporters, this sort of scathing review of his own teammates may not be looked on fondly by a new management team.

Wallace risks West Brom departure with comments
There is no doubt that it has been a poor season for the Albion and mistakes have played a large role in that happening.
Someone like Joe Wildsmith has come under fire in particular for his array of poor goalkeeping mistakes, which have cost his side dearly.
With that being said, it isn’t the place of Wallace to make comments about these sorts of players, especially with a game still remaining in the Championship.
If someone like Marti Cifuentes were to come on, it feels unlikely that he is going to appreciate his players being so negative in the media.
