Jed Wallace now ‘finished’ at West Brom as James Morrison drops update

West Brom could be set for big changes this summer, and some big names may be cleared out of the squad.

West Brom are on the lookout for a new manager to replace Tony Mowbray, and any major decisions may rest on the new head coach.

However, one player may be destined for the exit regardless of who replaces Mowbray, as another frustration has emerged over winger Jed Wallace.

Ahead of West Brom’s final game of the season against Luton Town, interim manager James Morrison delivered an update on Wallace.

Wallace a doubt for West Brom v Luton

West Brom will face Luton in their final game of the Championship season, which saw them drop out of the play-off places in the final weeks.

Ahead of the game, Morrison revealed that Wallace is a doubt for the game as he battles a calf issue.

The 31-year-old only just returned from an injury which kept him out of 10 consecutive matches during a crucial part of the season for West Brom, and he may have now suffered another setback.

It has been a difficult season for the West Brom captain, who has scored just once in 29 Championship games, and a decision will now have to be made over his future.

West Brom could part ways with Wallace

Wallace has been a strong performer in the Championship over the years, but he is becoming less and less effective, and this season has been a disaster.

For a winger to produce just two goal contributions over the course of a season has already put him under the microscope, and his lack of availability is becoming an issue.

Wallace has managed just six Championship starts, and his latest injury may show that it is time for West Brom to find someone more reliable in terms of fitness.

The Englishman has made 125 appearances for the Baggies, scoring 13 times, but he may never play for them again if he is ruled out against Luton and leaves in the summer.

The winger’s contract runs out in the summer of 2026, and if West Brom are to get any sort of fee for Wallace, they will have to sell him now.
