Paul Merson absolutely loves what West Brom v Luton reporter told him
West Brom ended their Championship season on a high with a dramatic 5-3 win over Luton Town.
The Hawthorns crowd were left delighted that the Black Country outfit fell on the right side of an eight-goal thriller, whereas the Hatters fans were devastated as their side have now endured back-to-back relegations from the Premier League to League One.
Both Tom Fellows and Callum Styles scored braces, while Daryl Dike got himself on the scoresheet for the first and final time this season.
Next season, West Brom will hope that the USA international can avoid the injury struggles that have plagued him this term.

Sky reporter Rob Jones bigs up Merson
Alex Mowatt put in a solid performance for the Baggies against Luton, completing more passes than any other player involved in the fixture.

Mowatt went close to scoring a potential Goal of the Season against Luton, with his shot from range spinning inches wide of the post.
Reacting to that moment live on Sky Sports News (3 May, 1:41pm), reporter Rob Jones said: “It sits up nicely on the full volley for Mowatt. The technique is really difficult, the sort of thing that Paul Merson could have mastered. Not sure about everyone else in the studio.”
Jones’ comments caused the former Arsenal man to laugh, with host Simon Thomas adding: “Merson absolutely loved that.”

Baggies supporters will be pleased by their win over Luton
The Baggies faithful have witnessed a largely turbulent campaign, while the Black Country outfit ultimately missed out on a playoff spot by a four-point margin.
A 0-0 draw with relegated Cardiff City on 26 April ensured that the West Midlands club could no longer land a top-six spot, while the Albion’s poor form in recent weeks was courtesy of Tony Mowbray’s poor management.
West Brom supporters will believe that if Carlos Corberan had not left in favour of La Liga side Valencia in December, their side could have finished in the playoffs.
But after witnessing two permanent managers leave The Hawthorns this season, the Baggies fans will be pleased that the Albion produced an entertaining final day victory.
Their 5-3 win over Luton will give West Brom supporters belief that their club can have a more enjoyable campaign next season, especially if owner Shilen Patel gets his managerial appointment right this summer.
