Wrexham line up ex-West Brom star who loves James McClean
West Brom supporters may see a familiar face in the Championship next season.
Wrexham are set to join the Baggies in the second tier after securing second place in League One for their third-straight promotion.
They could even prove to be direct competition for the automatic promotion places or a playoff spot, if both clubs get their transfer windows right.
The Welsh outfit could sign a former Albion star after a new update on their transfer plans emerged ahead of their maiden Championship campaign.

West Brom could be reunited with Callum Robinson
Robinson notched 17 goals and 12 assists in 95 appearances for the Black Country club, including five strikes in the Premier League.
A report from Darren Witcoop (4 May) claims that the 30-year-old is on the Red Dragons’ radar ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Welshmen currently employ former Baggies star James McClean, who Robinson admitted is an inspiration back in 2019.
In quotes reported by the Irish Mirror, he said: “He is a role model for attacking players. If you look at his stats – his running stats came up on Instagram – they speak for themselves.”

Robinson can still do a job in the Championship
Despite the fact that Cardiff were relegated from the Championship, the 30-year-old has proved that he is still capable at this level despite his advancing age.
The Ireland international notched 12 goals and one assist in 34 matches in the second-tier this season but could not prevent a disappointing conclusion.

Baggies supporters will not be happy if their former star starts lighting up the division given that he was accused of having attitude issues and they will definitely not want him to succeed at their expense and secure promotion.
The former Throstles ace has only scored against the West Midlands club once in his career, in the 2018-19 season in a 4-1 defeat at The Hawthorns.
The Welsh club, owned by Hollywood stars Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, are looking to complete a remarkable rise to the Premier League but Albion will be in direct competition with them.
Shilen Patel needs to make some big moves to ensure that 1968 FA Cup winners are able to compete with the likes of Wrexham and finally secure a return to the top-flight for the first time since te 2020-21 campaign.
